Lemon Balm Seeds — growing guide

Prepare the Growing Medium
Fill a seed tray or small pots with a fine, well-draining seed-starting mix. Moisten the medium evenly before sowing, but do not make it waterlogged.

Sow the Seeds
Scatter the tiny seeds thinly over the surface. Press them gently onto the medium, but do not bury them deeply because Lemon Balm seeds need light to germinate.

Keep Warm and Moist
Place the tray in a bright location with indirect light at about 18–24°C. Mist gently whenever the surface begins to dry. Germination usually takes 7–14 days.

Thin the Seedlings
When seedlings develop 2–3 sets of true leaves, remove weaker seedlings or separate crowded plants. Keep the healthiest plants with enough space for airflow and root growth.

Transplant and Acclimate
Transplant seedlings into larger pots or the garden when they are strong and about 5–8 cm tall. Introduce them gradually to morning sun over several days and space plants about 30–45 cm apart.
